Flipix Social Club - a dating site with event/venue geolocation

The project's objective was to develop a social dating platform for singles, featuring an innovative concept of 'tickets' to events that allowed users to connect with potential companions for these events. The design incorporated a visually engaging Pinterest-style wall, with Polaroid-style images that users could flip to access the singles' bios and event details.

Users had the capability to search for events based on their zip code and proximity to other locations, with the wall dynamically adjusting to display relevant results. Venues employed automatic geolocation services from Google to pinpoint their locations and subsequently updated a local database to store queries, reducing reliance on frequent requests to Google's service.
